All included: Jet Orientation Course (JOC) in ATO „Aviacom Flight Academy“ (AFA) is conducted comprising theoretical training followed by practical training in aircraft cabin. During transition from the basic commercial training environment (piston engine aircraft) to jet airline operations, You’ll get familiar with new systems and piloting techniques.

Jet Orientation Course (JOC) structure

 

Entry requirements

At least 70 hours as pilot-in-command of airplanes;

Valid multi-engine instrument rating;

Certificate of Multi-Crew Cooperation (MCC) Course completion;

ATPL / CPL license or have received theoretical knowledge instruction in an approved course at an approved Flight Training Organisation (FTO) and have demonstrated knowledge appropriate to the privileges granted to the holder of an ATPL (A) (frozen ATPL) or CPL (JAR-FCL 1.285).


Course description 

 

Theory – 8 hours

Introduction of jet aircraft

Jet engine versus piston engine differences

Basic principles of flying specified airplane

Power concept

Systems familiarization

Automation

General handling and IFR flying in the jet environment

Precision and Non-Precision approaches

Checklist and Briefing philosophies and techniques

Mutual work and task sharing in jet aircraft environment

Standard Operating Procedures

Cockpit Procedure Training (Mock-up)


Practical training – 4 hours

Pilot flying (PF) & Pilot Non-flying (PNF)
