The course is designed for the applicant to be given adequate training in ground and flying instructional techniques based upon established teaching methods. On successful completion of the course and final test the applicant may be issued with a FI(A) rating permitting the holder to give flight training appropriate to the issue of a PPL(A) or a CPL(A) or a single-engine class rating and a night qualification. Usually a job of flight instructor is the first for pilots, who want to start their carrier in a civil aviation.
Entry Requirements
An applicant for a flight instructor rating shall be at least 18 years of age;
License – at least a CPL(A) or completed at least 200 hours of flight time of which 150 hours as pilot-in-command if holding a PPL(A);
Theoretical knowledge – met the knowledge requirements for a CPL(A);
An applicant for the FI(A) rating shall have completed an approved course of theoretical knowledge instruction and flight training at an approved ATO;
Completed at least 30 hours on single-engine piston powered aeroplanes of which at least five hours shall been completed during the six months preceding the pre-entry flight test;
Receive at least 10 hours instrument flight instruction of witch not more than five hours may be instrument ground time in a FNTP or a flight simulator;
Completed at least 20 hours of cross-country flight as pilot-in-command, including a flight totaling not less than 540 km (300 nm) in the course of which full stop landings at two different aerodromes shall be made.

Flying with FNPT II Simulator – 5 h
Flight exam with CAA examiner – 1 h
This instructor qualification (TRI) – is one of the most desirable and profitable in a pilot training market, because on successful completion of the course and final test the applicant will be issued with a TRI (A) rating, permitting the holder to give theory & flight training in simulators and aircrafts for pilots of such a popular aircrafts as Boeing, Airbus, SAAB, ATR, etc. Type Rating Instructor (TRI) rating opens the door into pilot training schools and air companies all over the world.
Entry Requirements
Valid ATPL(A);
Valid type rating/IR on corresponding airplane type;
1 500 hours flight time as a pilot on multi-pilot airplanes;
Have completed, within the 12 months preceding the date of application, 30 route sectors, including take-offs and landings, as PIC or co-pilot on the applicable airplane type, of which 15 sectors may be completed in an FFS representing that type.
Type Rating Instructor TRI theory learning – 35 h
Practical training – 17 h, including:
Technical training (instructing for CBT systems or CPT training);
Simulator training;
Right hand seat qualification;
Assessment of competence.
